Christmas 2016

We sort of had a white Christmas!  It actually snowed the Friday before, but there was still snow on the ground Christmas morning!  How lovely.

My folks came up to spend Christmas day with us.  Timothy and Jessy were not able to come.  They are getting over the flu.

We enjoyed attending Christmas Eve candlelight service and Sunday Christmas breakfast at church.  There were a lot of people at the candlelight service...not so many at the breakfast/sermon.

Sermon Notes:
Tozer quote ,"God's love is the hardest attribute to talk about."  Something to ponder.
4 aspects of God's love: 1.Listening (be quick to listen to what others are needing...not necessarily quick answer 2.Offering (offer ourselves to help others - serving God) 3.Visiting (show God's love to others) 4.Encouraging (encourage others to know Christ - great opportunity at Christmas time.  Christ isn't just a baby in a manger, He's the Savior of the world!  But K.I.S.S. keep it simple, silly (don't want to use stupid - pastor didn't use that phrase, I just thought it fit.)

Question:  How are we sensitive to some people's difficulties at this time of year?  Invite those that have no one to spend  Christmas with to our home and church.

Thank You, Awesome God, for sending us a Savior!
