The Great Wolf Lodge

The Great Wolf Lodge was awesome! We went to the GWL for Christmas last year because our cousins invited us. When we got back home we decided that we had to do it again next year, and we did. This year was a bit more packed than last year. However, it was still lots of fun.


The waterpark is probably the coolest thing there. It has a big wave pool, a giant waterfort with a giant bucket on top that fills with water then dumps the water on the fort, and six waterslides. Two of the water slides were on the fort, but, they weren't as fun as the other four.


If you have ever driven by The GWL then you have probably seen the giant red and yellow funnel thing connected to it. That big funnel thing is a water slide! It's called the Howlin' Tornado.

What happens on the Howlin' Tornado is really cool, but kinda short. You have to climb a bunch of stairs to the top to actually get to the slide. You sit in these special inner-tubes, then fall at about eighty degrees into the big funnel thing. You get rocked back and forth in the funnel until you get to the end then you slide out and a lifeguard pulls you out.

That is just one of the really cool slides there but I don't have time to write about all of them. The GWL waterpark is really cool.


One of the other cool things is MagiQuest. MagiQuest is a really fun game at the GWL. The coolest thing about it is that you have to walk all over GWL to finish all of the quests. I think they have ten quests and three adventures. And if you finish all of the quests you get a little certificate showing that you did it. However, getting the certificate isn't the only reason to play, there are tons of cool little gadgets everywhere that don't even have anything to do with it.

If you want to be a Magi, you have to pay about $15 for the wand (yes, you get a wand) and $10 for the game. You also get to pick a game name for your Magi which is recorded with your wand.

This year for our one and only Christmas present, we went to the Great Wolf Lodge with our family. We have been waiting since last Christmas to come back to the Great Wolf Lodge. This year we went with the Ruiz's and the Swanner's. They also brought some of their friends so we could get the group discount.

We spent most of our time in the water park which was even more fun than last year because we had more family to play with.

Other than the park I spent some time in the arcade room with Chris playing Nascar and Fast and Furious. I had lots of fun this year and I can't wait for next year.

This Christmas we went to the awesome Great Wolf Lodge!!! Our cousins came too. It was super fun!!! We went to the pool where it's really hot when you go in the room. It's around 86 degrees. There is a wavepool with big waves and little waves. I like the big waves more. Tim and I brought our Laptops. But the internet was slow. We tried to watch a movie on Tim's laptop but the slow internet made it really slow (which stinks). At home we can watch it fast.

The movie is Dorkness Rising. The movie is really funny. It's about these guys who play D&D.
