We've got another broody Waffle. It probably is the same chicken. I can't tell the two Waffles apart.
I asked our 4H buddies for some more fertilized eggs (received 5) and put broody Waffle into the garage in a cardboard box (I didn't want the other chickens killing the poor little chicks like I think happened last time) She settled right away on top of the eggs and is all fluffed up. She makes this little clucking sound when you check on her. She didn't even peck Tommy when he scooped her off of her other eggs to move her into the garage. What a good chicken :)
It should take 21 days starting today to hatch the eggs. Maybe we'll have some New Year's Eve babies! Fingers crossed :)
