Happy August!

Okay, so we are a few weeks into August already, but we seem to be extremely busy these days and certainly behind schedule in many areas of our lives.  For example:

1. #3 is about to turn 18, which you would think would be an opportunity for celebration.  However, #3 is working on earning his Eagle Scout Award which must be done before he turns 18.  #3 has waited until the (very, very, very) last minute to finish his Eagle Scout project and paperwork.  Not to mention that the paperwork and rules for submitting for the award has changed recently which has caused us all sorts of confusion.  There is a distinct possibility that he will not make the deadline, which is only a week away. :(
2. Renee finally go her goats: three little does that are as adorable as can be.  However, as with any new type of pet or livestock, you come to quickly realize that you were not as prepared to support them as you  may have thought.  We are currently working on a manger for their hay as well as a way to lock them up in their shelter at night so the mountain lions hiding behind every tree here in the NW do not eat them.
3. We have been trying to keep up with the boys' social calendar, which has become surprisingly busy this Summer.  Even though we take a break from the monthly folk dancing and weekly Wednesday night children's church club in the Summer, we have added the following weekly events:
• Weekly Wednesday night family devotions at church
• Weekly Sunday night Frisbee, Potluck, and fellowship at the park
• Starting tonight we are going to check out Mr. M's weekly Christjitsu (not kidding) lessons near Harbor Calvary Chapel.
4. #1 is staying at our house while looking for a new apartment.  He works graveyard at a grocery store so he sleeps during the day and we have to be quiet which is harder for some of us (I won't admit...er say who).  #1 also still does not have his own vehicle and since we live far away from his work, he needs to borrow one of ours.  Pray that we can continue to successfully juggle the vehicles between our five drivers and our various schedules.

Despite the added stress of the above (and more) God is still good, all the time!  We thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
