For those of you who don't know, the Malchert Family is preparing to embark on a new adventure: we're moving. I have accepted a position in Aberdeen, Washington and will be starting April 2nd. We will be selling our house in Longview and looking for a place to rent until we can find a place to buy in Grays Harbor county (that's a picture of the courthouse above).
I've promised Ne and the boys that we will purchase property and get some animals. Joe says he wants a German Shepard. Sounds like a good choice for a guard dog. Dan's only request is that we don't let the goats eat him, but that is a whole 'nother story (you'll have to ask).
For those friends and family we leave behind, this blog will be a good place to check to see what we're up to. We promise to stay in touch. We will dearly miss many of our friends and coworkers.
We will also miss our house, which, by the way, is for sale. Know anyone interested in a big old house in the middle of town? 1 1/2 story, four bedrooms, 1 3/4 baths, full basement (doesn't leak), and lots of character (that is, not many updates).
Keep us in your thoughts and prayers. This will be the first move that most of the boys remember.
