We are so proud of our "Burnt-Toast" chicken (Black Australorp). She hatched 7 chicks. All the little new-comers seem healthy. I just love the sound of little chicks cheeping. It sounds so sweet. We decided to leave the chicks with their mama this time. They are just so cute following her around! Now we don't need to buy baby chicks this spring. Actually, if they all turn out to be roosters, then we may have to buy more hens. So, hopefully, we have mostly hens!
