On the last weekend of April, our family went to a Christian Homeschool Conference in Redmond. The traffic on the way there was pretty horrible, but we eventually got to the house we were staying at (which was nice).
On Friday, we arrived at the Overlake Church, which is a very large church, and listened to the keynote speaker, Tedd Tripp. During Friday and Sturday we listened to many speakers: Emeal Zwayne, Dr. Jobe Martin, and Doug Bond. On Saturday morning, Dad, my brothers, and I went to a father & son(s) breakfast with some pretty good food.
My favorite session was Dr. John LeProhen. His talk was on spiritual gifts and raising up ministers. There were quite a few homeschooolers there but not nearly enough to fill the main auditorium.
Nearing the end of the conference there was the homeschool corral, which consisted mainly of girls who sang really well and young men who had average voices. Among the other talented homeschoolers there were extremely talented singers, pianists, and a really gifted 13 year old violinist.
The main focus of the conference was on discipling your children in a godly manner and glorifying God. The conference was "good" and encouraged me greatly.

On the last weekend of April, my family and I went to the annual Homeschool Conference in Redmond, Washington. We left at noon on Thursday as to get to our B&B room. Upon arriving at our rental room (basement) we unpacked all of our possessions we brought along with us and began settling in. After settling in, Dad broke out the laptop and we waited for the church to open. When the church finally opened we arrived and went to the vendor hall. The vendor hall is where you can buy books from the speakers who are speaking at the conference. After talking to many vendor (aka salesmen) and buying some books, we went back to our rental to get a good night's sleep.
We went back to the church at 9:00am to listen to the first keynote speech, which was given by Dr. Tedd Tripp. I thought he was a pretty good speaker.
Friday and Saturday were separated into three workshops with tons of speakers to choose from. Another keynote speaker was Emeal Zwayne, who was also a very good speaker.
This year was very educating.
