Vacation Bible School

Dr. Jones in a Foreign Land started this Sunday. We decorated jungle-style downstairs. The kids were really surprised when they came downstairs. We figured it would be about ten minutes before the kids grabbed the vines and tried to swing through the hallway. Amazingly, all the vines were still in place at the end of service Sunday!

The children's pastor, Omar, dressed up like a certain famous archeologist...bullwhip and all!

The kids will be learning all about Daniel this summer. Some of the themes are:

When things go wrong, we have a choice how we will respond.
It is more important to obey God than to fit in.
True wisdom comes from God.
Always stay true to God.
Speak up for what is right.
Make prayer a habit.
Jesus sets us free from sin.

I am in charge of the crafts (not games! cheer!).

Should be a great summer!
